One summer evening I decided to visit my friend in Budapest for a long weekend, I booked my flights and 3 months later I left England and flew to Hungary. I arrived late at the airport and waited nervously for my friend to pick me up, I just couldn't wait to catch up with her, eat/drink out and admire the beauty of Budapest.

We talked and laughed all night, snoozed a few hours and then we left for sight seeing! During my stay I visited the Budapest V. Keruelet, Chain Bridge, Castle of Budapest and of course the Thermal Baths - also the highlight of my trip!

So much sight seeing can only mean one thing; food! First day there she showed me the most amazing, little restaurant called The Vintage Garden and oh my, it was perfect and the food was just delicious! Second night we ate at another place, just as good and we ended my weekend by eating a three course meal at The Canteen. Let's also not forget the Gelato shaped like roses that I had too try, I mean who doesn't love ice cream shaped like flowers?

Something else that really stood out to me were the Ruin Bars. Pubs filled with all sort of things, no matching table and chairs, yet it works and makes it look so stunning and unique.

What can I say except that I had an amazing trip, loved Budapest and finally saw my friend again after a long summer apart!
