The August WS300 // 'Without music, life would be a mistake' - Friedrich Nietzsche

Being a student means there will be the odd flat party here and there, so I am super excited to have collaborated with August and received this amazing Multiroom Wireless Airplay Speaker. First of all, it's in black (yay) and it's a very sleek design which I love. Secondly and most importantly, the sound is amazing.

In Detail

When I received the product I found it super easy to set up and had no problems at all figuring out how to use it, which is always a plus. I first tried out the Bluetooth connection and loved how smooth the process was, same for the WiFi connection. The speaker comes with an app which is called 'August Alink' and can then be used in connection with WiFi, otherwise, it wouldn't work. Or you just plug your phone directly into a speaker with the provided cable, so plenty of options there.

It's compatible with Airplay, Spotify (only premium though), Tidal, Tune in and iHeart Radio. It also works with your provided music library on the phone, which is what I used. Additionally, those music streaming apps can only be used in combination with the 'August Alink' app and being connected to the speakers WiFi.

Now to the most important part, my boyfriend and I played various genres on the speaker and it never disappointed. From John Legend to hardcore metal (His favourite music, not mine) and a bit of Coldplay too. However what I first did was to play music quietly for an hour or so and then slowly increased the volume, this is to 'break in' the speaker - it's just like having a new pair of shoes really. After the breaking in part, the sound was just superb, excellent quality and beautifully balanced. The bass was not overpowering leaving us both very delighted with this product, so, in short, it's simply amazing.

Lastly, their product is incredibly good and for the price of 100£, you cannot complain. I highly recommend it, not just for the minimal look but also for its quality and as I stated in my previous post (What I Think About Sponsored Posts), I would never publish a review on my blog if I wasn't truly passionate about it. So, please head over to amazon and purchase yourself this beauty of a speaker:
