London Restaurant Guide: Pink and Cupcake heaven; Peggy Porschen.
One of my favourite ‘blogger hotspot’ cafes is Peggy Porschen. The place where you can indulge in Strawberries and Champagne as a cupcake version and where calories don’t count. It’s the kind of cafe that makes you feel like Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter will soon make an appearance; in a positive way of course.
Once you enter things will just never be the same.
The cupcakes on the menu are not your average vanilla sponges but instead filled with luxurious ingredients and exquisite toppings that make any cupcake look like a little piece of art. The founder, who is originally from Germany, is especially proud of her ‘Black Forest cupcake‘ which is a delicious spin on the German classic – FYI, tasted and loved by myself.
I picked the Berry Delight which had a fresh strawberry and blackberries on the top. The little surprise came with the heart that was filled with a berry syrup which you squeeze onto the cupcake, which was also filled with fresh berries. I also ordered a berry iced tea to accommodate the cupcake and my selection couldn’t have been better.
I probably haver never tasted such delicious cupcakes in my life and will certainly come back more often. However, Peggy Porschen is a small cafe with only a limited amount of space for sitting so in case you are a bigger group you may have to wait a little bit longer. But in case you do, the treats will be worth it in the end.
“count the memories, not the calories”
