Restaurant and Spa Review: Spa Seekers at The Mayfair Hotel
I’m the kind of person who stresses before the stress. It’s a never ending circle that is not only extremely exhausting but can ruin any good day. It’s a habit – A habit that needs changing. I believe that I have programmed my brain in a way to associate certain situations with stress. For example, certain assignments at Uni can be extremely stressful whereas others I find quite enjoyable. But my brain always connects assignments with stress, meaning I can’t enjoy writing the ones that actually interest me. So just the thought of writing my dissertation is getting me stressed; I am therefore stressing about a situation I won’t need to worry about for at least another 3/4 months.I stress about stress before there’s stress to stress about.
One trick that helps me with my stressful habit is to disconnect myself. A good balance between work, uni and relaxation are important to maintain a more stress-free life. Luckily I didn’t have to wait too long until I was able to get away from my busy everyday life and relax at the stunning Mayfair Hotel Spa, thanks to the amazing people from the SpaSeekers.
The Mayfair Hotel Restaurant
I love tapas style food. I’m the kind of a person who struggles to eat a full plate at a restaurant and instead of letting it go to waste finishes it all and later on complaints about tummy aches… Whereas with small plates, you can pick around, try different mains and most importantly share. Eating is fun, but enjoying a good meal surrounded by amazing people is much more satisfying. The price point for these range between £10-20, however, they are worth every penny. The food quality is extremely high, the flavour exceptional; I could easily eat it every single night until the end of my days. We had a lovely champagne to compliment our stunning selection of tapas and were, later on, able to try some of their delicious cocktails too.
You can see a lovely selection of different foods in the photo; from a mushroom risotto to a spinach salad and chilly king prawns.
The Mayfair Hotel Spa
We all need a break sometimes; life is hectic and can really run us down at times. So why not take the day off and relax in a spa? I have never felt as relaxed before as I did on that day. Not only because of the spa treatment but also because of how lovely everyone had welcomed us. Each staff member took their time to get to know us and made sure we were all satisfied with the food and drink selection, whilst telling us more about what they do. It was a fun evening, full of laughter, joy and relaxation. If you are planning a spa day; make sure to check out the Mayfair Hotel. Their amazing selection of massages followed by a nap in the relaxation room will diminish any stress & in case that won’t do; they also have a beautiful selection of champagne.
